Each of these clear aligner brands includes a system of transparent trays that gradually move your teeth over time. Unlike traditional metal braces, you won’t need to come in for tightened wires. Instead, you simply replace your current tray with the next in the series, each one shifting your teeth a bit further. The trays are removed for eating and brushing, so they won't interfere with your daily routines.

Clear aligners are a fantastic option for teens and adults, but they are not recommended for children.

The Clear Aligner Process

During your first appointment for clear aligners, your FLOSS Katy dentist will take an impression of your mouth so that custom-fitting trays can be made. Once you receive your aligner trays, you will need to wear them between 20 and 22 hours a day for your teeth to shift. Every few weeks you will be given new trays that move the teeth slightly more. The entire process can take as little as six months.
